August 2010: The PROCESS show
Our next gallery event will be the PROCESS show (referring to Printmaking Processes). Since we are a print gallery, and it seems as though many people are in the dark on what printmaking entails, for our August gallery stroll event we will be highlighting local artists who work with the various methods of traditional printmaking: Litho, Letterpress, Screenprint, Intaglio, and Linoleum/Woodcut, and will show (on the gallery walls) how they get from sketch to finished piece. Each artist display will include a sketch, transfer/films, the actual block/screen/plate, and then the final piece. Participating artists include Claire Taylor, Leia Bell, Nic Annette Miller, Andy Chase and more. Opening Reception: Friday August 20, 2010 from 6 - 10 PM.
Our current hanging show is a mini-print show comprised of 70 small art prints created by artists from around the country and beyond. We still have unframed copies of most of the prints available for sale for $15 each and under. Participating artists include: Tyler Stout, The Bungaloo, Jen Sorensen, Pedini, Justin Santora, Matt Lloyd, The Pett!ng Zoo, Adam Turman, Patrick Phegley, James Weinberg, Chuck Keppler, and many more.
